Get your sketching pencil and shade in as many light to dark tones across some spare paper.
The take a second look at your photo.
There are a wealth of mid tones of grey you can add, under the chin, eyes, under her lip, around her jaw, the hair line.
There are also some very dark areas in her hair, almost black.
Try to see these tones in terms of geometric shapes.
This will add drama to your sketch.
